RICHARD D. WORSEK  co-founded the firm in 1983. His practice has been limited to ad valorem property taxation and general real estate matters. 

With more than thirty years in the field, Mr. Worsek has represented owners of office buildings, shopping centers, retail stores, hotels, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, pipe lines, tank farms, quarries, steel mills, mixed-used developments, continuing care retirement communities, nursing homes, hospitals, condominium associations, cooperatives, apartments and single family residences.  He has provided counsel to clients and represented them in seeking incentives and exemptions and has argued valuation and legal issues at all levels from assessorís offices to the state supreme court. 

He is president of the Illinois Property Tax Lawyers Association, a member of the Illinois State Bar Association State and Local Tax Council, and a member of the Property Tax Advisory Committee of the Taxpayersí Federation of Illinois.  Through all of these organizations, he has been active in shaping policy on legislative and administrative matters affecting property taxpayers. He previously served as a member of the Cook County Assessorís Tax Policy Forum, which analyzed and developed recommendations to improve the Cook County property tax system. Other professional affiliations include the American and Chicago Bar Associations, Institute for Professionals in Taxation and the International Association of Assessing Officers.  Additionally, he has frequently spoken before public and private groups on real estate tax issues. 

Mr. Worsek is a trustee of the Center for Enriched Living, a life enrichment and community center for people with developmental disabilities.  He was a founding board member and served on its capital campaign steering committee, which raised the funds to build a permanent facility.  He is also a director of the Nate Wasserman Camp Fund, which awards summer camp scholarships to kids who would not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy camp experiences. 

Richard earned a B.S. with high honors and J.D. from the University of Illinois. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1979 and spent his first four years practicing law with the firm of Chadwell & Kayser, Ltd.
